Because, it is my history
"There will be a Depression so Great that we will fall onto our knees." I say. "How do you know this ?" He asks. "Because, it is my history."
"There will be a Second World War, it will be bloody." I say to him, "and it will only end when we take the power of the sun and use it's might, if only for a second." "How do you know this?" He asks. "Because, it is my history."
"There will be a War in Vietnam, it will be long and hard. People stateside will fight, not just over the war going on, but over the rights of others as well." I say. "And how do you know this old man?" He asks. "Because, it is my history."
"There will be two Gulf Wars, one in the 80's and the second in the 90's. The first showing what we need to work on, and the second showing the world what we have improved upon" I say. "And how do you know this old timer?" He asks. "Because, it is my history."
"There will be a Terrorist Attack in the month of September of the year 2001, people will die and we will go to war with the people responsible in the east. It will be a very long war, many people will die." I say. "And tell us Mr. Smith, how do you know this?" The nurse asks. "Because, it is my history."
"Old Man, all that you have said has happened so far, you were right and we doubted you. We ask you, what will happen next?" The young man asks. "I do not know what will happen." The old man replies. "And why not?" asks the young man. "Because, I have finally caught up with my time."
"In the year 2013, on December 7, a young man will wake up to find himself in a different time, where the world was younger. He will stay out of the light, do nothing to alter things if he could. He will meet with the greatest of minds and the brightest of stars.
He will find love and he will lose it as well. He will have walked thousands of miles, been to places that no one has been to. He will live a long life, longer than most people could dream of. He will dodge the men in black and the men in white, and though he could not stop that fated day to happen again, he knows that it would not matter. The things that young man would learn, the sights he would see, and the friends he would make, those things would be worth it, and he would live a good life."
